Luis Cadena is a bass trombonists from Alice, Texas, and a masters student at the University of Texas at Austin studying trombone performance under Dr. Nathaniel Brickens. Luis is an aspiring bass trombonist refining his performance skills while actively taking orchestral auditions. Luis is a co-founder of the internationally recognized group known as KAIZEN trombone quartet. In addition, Luis serves as the principal bass trombonist of the Kingsville Winds and substitute musician of Austin Symphony Orchestra. Luis has appeared at major festivals and conferences including the American Trombone Workshop, International Trombone Festival, Texas Music Educators Association Convention, and the College Band Directors National Association Conference. Luis earned his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University Kingsville where he studied under Dr. Oscar Diaz, Dr. Megan Boutin, and Mr. Eden Garza.
